Runway Blackout Delays Des Moines Flights

DES MOINES, Iowa — Flights in and out of the Des Moines International Airport have been delayed or diverted due to an issue with runway lights.

Airport employees tell Channel 13 that the lights have been out since 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials are unsure of what has caused the outage. Lights inside the terminal are working.
