CHICAGO, Illinois -- The Chicago Cubs clinched a postseason series at Wrigley Field for the first time in team history on Tuesday, beating the rival St. Louis Cardinals 6-4.

Chicago was able to win the series 3-1, despite losing Game 1 and not having home-field advantage against the perennial World Series-contending Cardinals. Several former former I-Cubs played pivotal roles in the series, including Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Javy Baez, Kyle Schwarber and Jake Arietta.

The young Cubs will now face either the New York Mets or Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. The divisional series between the Mets and Dodgers is currently tied 2-2.

Game 1 of the NLCS will be played on Saturday, Oct. 17 regardless, with time and location yet to be determined.
