WACO, Texas – Iowa State went into Waco undermanned and Baylor played like Baylor. The number one offense in the country started the game with 35 straight points.

A fake punt was the main source of offense for Iowa State until Paul Rhoads handed the team over to sophomore quarterback, Joel Lanning. Sam Richardson completed three passes to Cyclones and two passes to the Bears defense before Lanning entered the game.

Lanning threw three touchdowns in the 45-27 loss.
