Woman’s Body Found on Benton County Trail Being Treated as Homicide

BENTON COUNTY, Iowa -- The death of a woman found Sunday on a trail in Shellsburg is being investigated as a homicide.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says the body of Sabrina Christine Hustad, 25, formerly of Cedar Rapids, was found in the driveway of the 59th Street Trail around 11:51 a.m.  A neighbor discovered the body after he went searching for his truck, which had been stolen early Sunday morning.

The man found the truck crashed on the 59th Street Trail. He also found blood and then the woman's body.

According to KWWL, 31-year-old David Miller of Shellsburg has been arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft but could face further charges.
