Boomer Sooner Rolls Over Iowa State 52-16

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- No. 15 Oklahoma continues to roll in the Big 12.

The Sooners had no trouble with Iowa State Saturday night, winning 52-16 over the Cyclones.

OU outgained ISU 684-374 in total yards.

The Cyclones got on the board first thanks to a Cole Netten 43-yard field goal, but the Sooners responded on their very next offensive play, a 75-yard reverse flea flicker touchdown.

Oklahoma led 21-9 at the half, but blew the game open in the second quarter with more long touchdowns. The Sooners had touchdowns of 75, 27, 17, 8, 74, 57 and 55 yards.

Joel Lanning threw for 260 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Allen Lazard led the way with eight catches for 101 yards.

Running Back Mike Warren was held in check by the OU defense, rushing for just 43 yards. Warren is now just 3 yards away from 1,000 on the season.

Iowa State falls to 3-6, the Cyclones return home next week to take on No. 14 Oklahoma State.
