MANHATTAN, Kansas – It was another heartbreaker for Iowa State football with a loss to Kansas State Saturday, 38-35.
The Cyclones led at the half 35-14, but were unable to close out game.
The Wildcats, 4-7 on the season, scored 24 unanswered points in the second half. A fumble by Iowa State set Kansas State up for a touchdown to tie the game at 35.
With 3 seconds left in the game, a field goal by Kansas State sealed the deal for a 38-35 stunning victory over the Cyclones.
Iowa State (3-8) finishes out the season at West Virginia next Saturday.
