CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Some Iowa high school football players had a little extra time to prepare for the championship game this season thanks to the weather.
A snow storm Friday forced the Iowa High School Athletic Association to postpone three championship games.
It saved Dowling Catholic fans from having to drive to and from Cedar Falls in the thick of the storm. The Maroons will now play Cedar Rapids Kennedy Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
All tickets for Friday’s games at the UNI-Dome will be honored and the same schedule will be kept for the championship games in classes 1A and 2A.
The games will not be broadcast on TV but a livestream will be available from the IHSAA.
