Two People Found Dead in Des Moines Home

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Two people are dead following a reported shooting in Des Moines.

Police responded to a home in the 3900 block of Center Street shortly before 3 p.m. Monday to investigate a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two deceased adults inside the home.

Officials said that two children have been removed from the home for their safety. Neither had apparent injuries, according to police.

"There were two children in the home but they are going to be fine," Sgt. Paul Parizek said. "They are being taken up to the hospital to be checked out but they didn't have any obvious injuries on them."

Des Moines Police Detectives are investigating the incident as suspicious. They will not comment on the cause or manner of death at this time.
