IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The man who guided the Iowa Hawkeyes to a perfect 12-0 season mark has been recognized again as coach of the year.

The University of Iowa announced Tuesday that Kirk Ferentz was named the 2015 Woody Hayes Coach of the Year.

This comes after Ferentz's recognition earlier this month as Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career and being named American Football Coaches Association Region 3 Coach of the Year on Monday.

The Woody Hayes Coach of the Year award is named after former Ohio State coach Woody Hayes and recognizes the nation’s top coach every year since 1977.

The university said the award will be presented at the 61st Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards on Feb. 6.

The Hawkeyes have been invited to play to play Stanford in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
