DES MOINES, Iowa -- There has been a shake up in the Iowa GOP race.

In a new Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics Iowa GOP Poll released on Saturday, Ted Cruz leads the field of Republican candidates.

Ted Cruz (31 percent) came out in front of Donald Trump (21 percent), Ben Carson (13 percent), and Marco Rubio (10 percent).

Since October, Cruz has jumped 21 percentage points. This marks the biggest leap between Iowa Polls recorded in at least the last five presidential caucus campaigns.

The Texas senator is at the top of the The Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics Iowa GOP Poll for the first time.
