CENTER POINT, Iowa – An Iowa State student who was killed in a hit-and-run incident was laid to rest on Saturday.

Emmalee Jacobs was hit by a car and killed at the intersection of Lincoln Way and Ash Avenue in Ames around 7 a.m. on Monday.

Jacobs’ funeral was held at the Center Point Urbana High School Saturday morning, where she had just graduated from last year.

Police say they have not found the driver nor do they have many leads in their investigation but do remain hopeful.

“We really believe that at some point someone saw something and they will come forward and help us with the investigation,” said Ames police Commander Jason Tuttle.
