Campbell Announces Two New Cyclone Coaches
AMES, Iowa — Iowa State head football coach Matt Campbell announced new coaching additions for the Cyclones on Wednesday.new defensive line coach for the Cyclones on Wednesday.
Rudy Wade was announced as the new director of strength and conditioning and Eli Rasheed will join as a defensive line coach.
Wade held a similar position at Toledo since 2011.
“I thought we did an excellent job of developing kids at Toledo,” Campbell said in a release. “The development of the student-athlete is a critical piece of the puzzle. Not just recruiting them, but developing them. Rudy’s a great developer, both mentally and physically that I have ever been around.”

Rasheed will leave Toledo after seven years as a defensive line coach and join the Cyclones.
“Eli and I have been together for seven years and he has set the tone of not only going out and recruiting great players but also developing those young men,” Campbell said. “He is one of the best defensive line coaches I have been around.”
Rasheed said he is “fired up and ready to go.”
