KNOXVILLE, Iowa -- A construction worker in Marion County was saved from an icy stream by his coworkers Friday.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department says the man was working on a bridge off 108th Avenue, just south of Knoxville, Friday morning when he fell through a plank on the bridge and dropped 12 feet into an icy stream.
A coworker jumped into the stream to pull the man above water. A crane operator then helped pull them to shore.
The name of the man who fell in the river has not been released.
