Snow Totals Around 2 Inches Expected Monday

Clouds will begin to break up Friday evening and temperatures are expected to drop into the lower teens overnight. We will see a bit more sunshine for Saturday and temperatures will climb into the lower 30s.

Cloud cover will move back in throughout Sunday, but temperatures will rise past freezing to top out in the upper 30s. This will be the warmest day of the week as we see the next system move in for Monday, cooling temperatures down and bringing in a chance for snow.

Models are indicating very light snow moving through on Monday with snow totals less than 2 inches in the Des Moines metro. It will be a chilly start to the work week as temperatures are trending up for the later half of the week.
