DES MOINES, Iowa -- If anyone can agree on anything this election season, it’s that the number of candidates and their name recognition is unprecedented.

Legendary broadcaster NBC’s Tom Brokaw said he’s never seen anything like it, and he’s been covering the caucuses for over three decades.

Brokaw recently won a battle against cancer, and at age 75, he's more willing than ever to share the way he sees America and its politics.

While in Des Moines on Monday, he sat down with Channel 13 for a one-on-one interview.

Brokaw talks about the impact cancer has had on the way he approaches the news, his idea about getting rid of Iowa’s first-in-the-nation status and if he's doing RAGBRAI.
