DUBUQUE, Iowa — One of our feathered friends has made its pick for the country’s next president.
KWWL reports the Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium held its “Hawkus” event Tuesday.
Staff placed food near the pictures of the top three frontrunners in the Republican and Democrat parties. A red-tailed hawk deliberated for about three minutes, before choosing Marco Rubio.
The staff says they weren’t surprised the hawk picked a Republican because the bird only has one wing — a right one.
In 2012, the hawk selected Michele Bachmann as the winner.
