Enjoy the warmer temperatures while you can -- The January thaw will be followed by a February freeze.

We'll see a mix of sun and clouds over the weekend and winds shifting toward the south Friday and Saturday will help us reach the warmest temperatures so far this year.

Sunday will bring a chance for a light rain-snow mix, but it is not expected to be significant. So no worries for Feb. 1, the night of the Iowa Caucuses. We'll be dry with a high in the 30s.

A bigger system will set up late Monday through early Wednesday. We are expecting measurable snow with some totals over 6 inches by Wednesday. High winds and the extra snow will make travel difficult for the Tuesday evening commute.

It looks much colder on Wednesday with highs in the teens.

Be sure to stay updated over the next week as we continue to bring you the latest updates.
