WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Valley high schoolers got to meet a big name Friday.

Super Bowl champion Justin Hartwig visited his alma mater Friday night during the basketball games against Dowling Catholic.

Hartwig graduated from Valley  in 1997 and played college football at Kansas before being drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2002.

He played 8 seasons in the NFL winning a Super Bowl in his last, 2009 with the Steelers.  Pittsburgh beat Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals in one of the greatest games of all time.

Hartwig present a golden 50th anniversary super bowl football to Valley during halftime of Friday's games.  Every player who has ever played in a Super Bowl received a ball to present to their high school.
