WILMINGTON, Delaware -- The headquarters of the agriculture spin-off company from the Dow Chemical merger with DuPont will not be located in Iowa.
The announcement was made Friday morning that the corporate headquarters for the agriculture company will be located in Wilmington, Delaware. According to a press release from the company the Johnston DuPont Pioneer site will function as a global business center with leadership of business lines, business support, research and development, global supply chain, sales, and marketing capabilities.
“Our deep presence in Iowa and Indiana will continue the close ties to our customer base and the broader Agriculture community, while leveraging the existing corporate infrastructure and expertise we have in Delaware – DuPont’s home for more than 200 years,” said Edward D. Breen, chairman and CEP of DuPont.
There will be three independent companies created out of the merged DowDuPont: an agriculture company, material science company, and a specialty products company. The headquarters for the material science company will be in Midland, Michigan and the headquarters for the specialty products company will be in Wilmington, Delaware.
