WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- The shops at the Historic Valley Junction hope to offer you some spring inspiration with their first D.Y.I. in the Junction crafts event.
“We thought, we need some new events. How can we get people into the store during the winter time,” said Jim Miller, Historic Valley Junction. “The biggest part of this is to let people what we have to offer. I hear a lot from people they don’t know what each store has. We hope this changes the perception.”
On Saturday, 38 classes will be offer by 16 different shops. They include a variety of crafts classes.
The classes range in price to attend but a majority of them are free. Some of the classes do have a small charge but a handful of stores will be donating that fee to local charities.
