AMES, Iowa - Iowa State can't afford any injuries if they want to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament, and point guard Monte Morris is doing everything he can to get healthy.
Morris injured his shoulder in the final game of the regular season against Kansas.
Last week at the Big 12 tournament, Morris said he was only about 40-50 percent healthy in the loss to Oklahoma. Morris was just 1-of-9 shooting against the Sooners.
Iowa State plays Iona Thursday at 1 p.m. and Morris is hoping the extra time off will get him to about 70-80 percent healthy.
