DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowans are coming together Tuesday to honor Vietnam War veterans.

Tuesday afternoon, Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense are commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.

They'll be holding a recognition ceremony to thank Iowans who fought in the war. That's at 2:00 p.m. at the VA Medical Center at 3600 30th Street.

This is a multi-year commemoration of America's participation in the Vietnam War.
