Marshalltown Fire Department Asking Residents to Lookout for Suspicious Activity

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa -- Over the past few months, the Marshalltown fire department has responded to six intentionally set fires.

Now, they're asking residents to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

All six fires took place at abandoned or unoccupied homes around Marshalltown, with the most recent fire taking place at 712 East Boone Street.

A passerby said they saw a white male standing outside the house at the time of the fire.

The fire department is asking residents to watch for and report suspicious activity around any vacant properties.
