I-35 Reopens Near Ames Following Road Repairs

AMES, Iowa - Southbound traffic on Interstate 35 has resumed after officials closed the interstate briefly Wednesday morning.

The DOT closed the interstate as construction crews made emergency repairs to the interstate. Drivers were forced to use a detour along Highway 69 between Ames and Huxley when the interstate was closed at about 9:45 a.m.  One lane of the interstate was opened shortly before 10:30 a.m.
