DES MOINES, Iowa -- A state representative hopes police can help him find the person who stole his bee hives in West Des Moines.

Rob Taylor noticed his two bee hives were gone on Saturday.

He says he started a honey business after hearing others talk about it, and it's been a great business for his family.

"I posted it on social media yesterday because listen at the end of the day we just want our hives back and I'm not sure who, what, when or what or why, all I know is the property owner, as well as myself, saw the hives on the property on Thursday night," Taylor said. "Yesterday morning, both of my sons go to Climb Iowa in Grimes and on the way home and I look to the right and my hives were gone."

Taylor hopes anyone with information will call the police.
