NEVADA, Iowa — The man convicted of killing a young woman inside the Coral Ridge Mall is asking for a new trial.
Just two weeks ago, a jury convicted Alexander Kozak of first degree murder in the June 2015 death of Andrea Farrington.
Now, Kozak’s lawyer has filed a motion to start from scratch. The lawyer claims prosecutors didn’t follow court rules during the original trial.
The motion will be considered at Kozak’s sentencing, which is set for June 6th.
