Severe Weather Risk Diminishing Across Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Showers have pushed through the state throughout the morning hours, with has much of the area seeing less than a half inch of rain.

Due to the cloud cover being so great, the risk for severe weather has diminished significantly. A few storms are still going to be possible over far southeastern Iowa later this afternoon, but the strongest storms will be farther toward the south.
