URBANDALE, Iowa -- An Urbandale teenager has been charged after he claimed he was injured in a drive-by shooting.

Urbandale police responded to the report Monday just after noon. Officers found 19-year-old Zachary Dunblazier outside the residence at 4520 60th St. with a gunshot wound.

Police say his story did not match up with evidence found at the scene, and detectives determined the victim's wound was accidentally self-inflicted.

He is now charged with making a false police report.
