DES MOINES, Iowa — Thursday is the last day Iowans using Medicaid can switch to a different provider.

In April, more than 500,000 Iowans transitioned to a new Medicaid system. The new system is now managed by three healthcare providers.

Iowans were given 90 days to switch to a different provider. So far, about 100,00 Iowans have switched to another plan.
