ALTOONA, Iowa — The Altoona Aquatics Park announced Thursday that it will temporarily close for emergency repairs.

Park leaders found a problem with the sealant that was installed in the spring, and they want it repaired before it becomes a safety hazard.

The park will close Friday after the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at 9:15 a.m. Officials say they plan to reopen next Wednesday, June 29.

If you had swimming lessons scheduled for June 27 or 28, you will receive a $10 refund. Contact the park for more information.
