The American Civil Liberties Union is looking for a new leader after its director, Jeremy Rosen, announced he was stepping down on Monday.
Veronica Fowler, the spokesperson for the ACLU is not commenting about why Rosen stepped down saying it was a personnel matter, and that Rosen will be hard to replace.
“It`ll be difficult because it`s a very special job, you have to be a very special person; that person will need to have strong, political, legal, communication skills, be a real leader, understand policy of course, understand the constitution and how that applies to our basic rights” said Fowler.
The ACLU has yet to name an interim director.
Rosen’s last day is Thursday.
