Carlisle Softball Ready to Make a Run at State Title

CARLISLE, Iowa -- The Carlisle Wildcats are the top ranked team in Class 4A and sit just three wins away from a state championship, which would be their first since 2010.

Carlisle lost in the title game back in 2013, and now the seniors are hoping to end their careers on a high note.

Carlisle is 36-6 overall, but riding a 26-game winning streak.

The Wildcats are the top seed in next week's State Tournament in Fort Dodge.

Carlisle plays Charles City on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
