Carlisle Holds Off Pella, Wildcats Advance to 3A Championship

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Carlisle is one of the top hitting teams in the state and their offense got them off to a great start on Friday against Pella in the 3A semifinals.

The Wildcats scored five runs in the first three innings and held off the No. 2-seeded Dutch, 5-3.

Carlisle advances to their second baseball championship game in school history where they'll face No. 4-seed Harlan Saturday night. The Wildcats won it all back in 2003, their only title.
