DES MOINES, Iowa – Des Moines residents can expect a big crowd at Western Gateway park this weekend.

It’s officially day two of the Italian American Heritage Festival. The festival features 20 different vendors serving food, wine, and cannolis.

People can also find cooking demonstrations, live music, and bocce ball tournaments.

If you want to get in free, just bring a canned good to Western Gateway Park before 5 p.m. The food will be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa.

After 5 p.m., it will be $5 to get in.

“Our sponsorship this year for our donations is Best Buddies of Iowa so a percentage of our gates and tips from our beer stations will go to best buddies this year,” said James Hamm, Co-Chair of the Italian American Heritage Festival.

A jumbotron this year will play video from the concerts and food demos. They’ll even showcase tweets from the event, just use the hashtag, #IAHF2016.
