AMES, Iowa - Iowa State coaches loved what they'd seen from freshman quarterback Zeb Noland.

Noland was very much in contention to win the backup quarterback job behind Joel Lanning.

However, Campbell announced Friday Noland will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The backup job now belongs to Sophomore JUCO transfer Jacob Park, who is also a highly touted quarterback prospect.

Park originally started his career at Georgia, before transferring after one season. He spent one year at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M before joining Iowa State in the summer.

Park was a four-star prospect out of high school with offers from Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee, and Notre Dame along with many others.
