DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man was charged on Wednesday following his involvement in a fatal high-speed crash that occurred on Sunday.

On Aug. 14, Des Moines Police were chasing 34-year-old Darnell Browder in a vehicle just north of Douglas Avenue when Browder crossed into the southbound lane and struck another vehicle.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, 41-year-old Jason Hunt of Des Moines, was killed in the crash. Hunt’s passenger, 40-year-old Angela Denning of Des Moines, was injured and transported to the hospital.
