West Des Moines Man Killed in Webster County Crash

WEBSTER COUNTY, Iowa -- The Iowa State Patrol says a Gowrie man with three young children in his vehicle ran a stop sign and smashed into another car, killing a West Des Moines man Saturday.

The patrol says the crash happened around 6 p.m. in Webster County.

According to the incident report, 24-year-old Tanner Van Every ran through a stop sign on a gravel road at Highway 169 and 300th Street. His vehicle hit an approaching car driven by 23-year-old Brett Neal of West Des Moines, who was killed.

Van Every and the children in his vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Authorities haven't announced any charges against him.
