WILLIAMS, Iowa -- The Great Annual Model A Ride around Iowa is underway for 2016.

Over 20 Ford Model A's left Ankeny for a tour which will include overnight stops in Mason City Wednesday, Algona on Thursday, and Fort Dodge on Friday.

Wednesday morning the group stopped in Williams off Highway 20 and I-35 to tour the Hemken Auto Collection. 65 vintage autos are displayed, many, which have not been restored, as a way to preserve their authenticity.

The museum also has collections of dealer signs, literature, picnic coolers, petroleum memorabilia, and toys.

The Central Iowa Model A Club is sponsoring the tour.  The group plans to see Music Man Square in Mason City and the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake.  They will also visit the Hobo Museum in Britt, the POW Museum in Algona, as well as the West Bend Grotto.

When they arrive in Fort Dodge, they will pay a visit to the Fort, and Dolliver State Park.
