DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a man last weekend.

Antonio Gonzalez was hit while walking in the 3100 block of Southeast Fifth Street. It happened just after 4:00 a.m. on October 8th.

Gonzalez suffered extensive injuries to the back of his head, shoulders, knees, and back. His family says he has been transferred to an Iowa City hospital for skin grafting operations.
