NEVADA, Iowa — It was a very special moment on Thursday  night when Zach Stinn brought the crowd to its feet with a very memorable touchdown. You can hear the joyful applause in the stands as #2 on the Nevada Cubs football team enters the end zone, surrounded by his teammates. Zach, who has down syndrome, is a student at the middle school and has been a part of the 7th and 8th grade football teams this year. Zach has attended practices and on Thursday night he made his debut in the game against the Greene County football team.

Zach’s coaches and teammates came up with the big play. The Greene County Rams helped coordinate efforts with Nevada to help make such a memorable event for Zach and for so many people in the Nevada community and beyond! It was a stellar example of great sportsmanship.
