Accused Police Murderer Makes Initial Court Appearance

DES MOINES, Iowa  —  Scott Michael Greene, the man accused of killing two metro police officers earlier this week made his first court appearance this morning.

Greene is charged with two counts of First Degree Murder for the shooting deaths of Urbandale police officer Justin Martin and Des Moines Police Sergeant Tony Beminio early Wednesday morning.  Greene allegedly shot the two officers 20 minutes apart then fled the metro.  He eventually surrendered to authorities in rural Dallas County.

Greene is now being held on a $10 million bond.  His next court appearance is scheduled for November 14th.
