ROCKWELL CITY, Iowa -- Funeral services for fallen Urbandale Police Officer Justin Martin are being conducted in his hometown of Rockwell City Tuesday.

Officer Martin had only been with the Urbandale Police Department for a year when officials say he was gunned down in an ambush attack by Scott Greene on Nov. 2. Des Moines police officer Sgt. Tony Beminio was also murdered by Greene that morning. He was laid to rest Monday.

The funeral service for Officer Martin was held at South Calhoun Middle School, where hundreds of law enforcement officers joined the other mourners.

South Central Calhoun School District released students two hours early for Monday's visitation and will cancel all classes Tuesday for Officer Justin Martin's funeral.
