Losing Streak Ends, Iowa State Rallies to Beat Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kansas — After trailing 14-10 at the half, Iowa State rallied for 21 second-half points to beat Kansas 31-24.

The win snaps a five-game losing streak for ISU.

Jacob Park once again played the majority of snaps at quarterback, throwing for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman running back David Montgomery had a breakout game rushing for 169 yards on 24 carries.

Allen Lazard had one of his best games with 10 catches for 120 yards and a touchdown.

The Cyclones racked up 458 yards of total offense.

It’s the first Big 12 road win for ISU since 2013.

The Cyclones are now 2-8 on the season with two games to play, both at home, beginning next week with Texas Tech.
