PLEASANT HILL, Iowa – Residents of Pleasant Hill are being asked to help the city name its newest park.

The 77-acre park is located southwest of Four Mile Elementary, on land the city purchased in 2014. The city is still working on plans for the park but it could feature soccer fields, a dog park, splash pad, shelters, picnic areas, nature trails, and open green space among other amenities.

“We would like community members to be involved in the process to name what will be our newest and largest city park,” said Mayor Sara Kurovski.

Suggestions on park names can be submitted through February 28th at community events, City Hall, and on the city’s website.

The park project team will narrow the suggestions down and the Pleasant Hill City Council will make the final decision.
