Two Des Moines Officers Resign Amid Investigation

DES MOINES, Iowa  —  Two Des Moines Police officers who are part of an internal investigation have resigned from the force.

The officers submitted their resignations Monday.  Their names are not being released.  Sources confirm to Channel 13 that the two officers are accused of tampering with evidence.  Those allegations stem from a 2015 drug investigation.

The ongoing internal investigation could lead to a review of other cases the two officers were involved with.  Des Moines Police have scheduled a news conference for Tuesday morning to update the investigation.  That news conference will be streamed live on
