DES MOINES, Iowa – Metro students have the chance to meet a TV and film star Wednesday.

Actor Kal Penn is making a stop at Harding Middle School and meeting with 6th and 7th grade students in the Turnaround Arts program.

He’s been featured in a number of movies — including “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle” and “Van Wilder” as well as dozens of hit primetime shows like “House,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “New Girl.”

Now he’s bringing his experience to the next possible wave of actors.

After meeting with students in the morning, he’ll meet with staff about cultural proficiency, and move on to coaching and practicing with the Harding Breakerz, a dance group, later Wednesday afternoon.
