DES MOINES, Iowa  —  Soon she’ll become Governor Reynolds but on Saturday she’ll be graduate Reynolds.

Kim Reynolds will graduate today from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with an emphasis in political science, business management and communications.  This is Reynolds’ first post-secondary degree.

Reynolds will soon succeed Governor Branstad and become the first woman to hold our state’s highest office.  Branstad has been nominated as the next ambassador to China by President-elect Donald Trump.  If his nomination is approved it will set in place the tranisition process.  There’s no timetable for when that could begin.
