Illinois  —  You may not know the name Robert Leo Hulseman, but chances are you’ve used his creation.

Hulseman, the man who invented the Red Solo Cup, has died at age 84.

His father started the business in 1936 and Hulseman worked his way up to CEO, succeeding his father in 1980.

Hulseman created the Red Solo Cup in the 1970s.
