Fire Kills Over 2,000 Hogs in Western Iowa

Fire destroyed a hog confinement facility in Kingsley.

KINGSLEY, Iowa  —  A fire took place at a hog confinement facility in Kingsley on Friday.

Investigators say the fire was caused by an electrical problem that likely started with a faulty fan used to circulate air throughout the building.

The 2,400 hogs inside the facility were killed in the fire.
