Hurricanes Hit Jobs Across the Country

UNITED STATES  —  Hurricanes Harvey and Irma damaged not only Texas, Florida, and surrounding states, but also many jobs all across the country.

The U.S. Department of Labor says the national economy lost 33,000 jobs in September. This is the first monthly decline in seven years.

Despite the hit, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says the overall unemployment rate fell to 4.2%.
